Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. She is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) and the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson for the US Department of State (2013-15) and the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was a CNN political contributor from 2017 until 2020. Psaki began her career as an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and was later elected governor of Iowa. Psaki was later named the press secretary's deputy in John Kerry's 2004 presidential race. Psaki was the communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 to 2006. Psaki was back in the political arena in 2012, serving as the press secretary for President Obama’s 2012 campaign. 20 Psaki quit as spokesperson for the United States Department of State, on February 11, 2013. [20] She was hired at the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21However, Josh Earnest took his place on May 30, 2014. In 2015, she returned to the White House as communications director and was there until the end of the Obama administration.
